So our next adventure was going to visit the Northwest Trek park in Eatonville, Washington. It's sort of like the Global Wildlife of the Northwest for all of you who know what I'm talking about. You ride a tram around a 500+ acre property, checking out all sorts of animals that are native to this area. There are also come walking trails and indoor activities, too. It was our first time to visit this park, and we had been looking forward to it for quite sometime.
Riding the tram
Our first animal sighting, black-tailed deer
Caribou
Bison...did you know the head of a bison can weigh 250 pounds???
Mountain Goat
Field full of elk
Look closely...
...can you see all of those antlers??
Pictures of this gorgeous park...
Then we were off to check out the animals on the walking trails.
We had a great time hanging out with this crazy beaver...he really seemed to like my pink rain jacket because he kept coming right up to the glass and hanging around for a while.
This wolverine was quite the busy guy today, he was never ever still.
Cute little sleeping fisher
This river otter was quite entertaining, too.
Couldn't believe there was a skunk!! We snapped a picture very quickly and took off!
Adorable badger...he was so bashful...awww...
The wolves were just gorgeous!
That is one LARGE grizzly bear!
Seems like the bears are enjoying a lazy day...
Although Zack had no idea why I wanted a picture of trees, I really did want a picture of this beautiful canopy to share with you =)
Isn't he the cutest?? Really made me want to watch "The Fox & The Hound."
Yep...
...he is.
I think G & Zack enjoyed our adventure at Northwest Trek. We headed home to get some needed rest because the next day we had some BIG plans...
