Our Canadian Adventure

We just couldn't have Mom visit without taking her across the border into Canada. We drove to Vancouver on Friday and spent the afternoon checking out Gastown. Gastown is Vancouver's oldest neighborhood and is full of little shops and places to eat. When we crossed into Canada, the line to get back into the U.S. was extremely long and we were told it had been a four hour wait all day, unbelievable! So we drove on into Vancouver to spend a couple of hours before getting in the four hour line. Thankfully, the time had dropped to only about a one hour wait and we were back in the U.S. It was a great day and a great experience for Mom to visit another country (This was her first time out of the U.S.). Here are a few pictures of our day...

Mom is here!

Tuesday was like Christmas morning for me...I woke up excited because I had to be on my way to the airport to pick up my mom. It's her first trip to our new home in Washington and I'm so glad she had a chance to visit. After I picked her up, we spent the afternoon in downtown Seattle on Pier 55 and at the Space Needle. Today was another beautiful day so we decided to drive up to Snoqualmie Falls and spend some time there. Here are a few pictures of our adventures...

We even walked the trail to the lower observation deck.
It was fabulous! We could feel the mist!

Tomorrow we are planning to go to Vancouver, B.C. so hopefully we'll have some more pictures very soon =)
